A grand day out

ScarboroughWHAT a grand day out - that was the verdict from the coach party who visited Scarborough for the day.

The trip was organised by Malcolm Walker and Robert Price, of Longley and Lowerhouses Community Church, who did a magnificent job.

When the coach left Lowerhouses the sky was dull and threatening but by the time we reached the outskirts of Scarborough there was a beautiful blue sky! When we arrived the party scattered - but many aimed for fish and chips and a pot of tea to start the afternoon!

There was plenty going on - boat rides on the Pirate Ship, putting, walking round Peasholm Park, shopping, walking on the beach and the seafront ....plus the usual ice creams, donkey rides and sticks of rock!

A tired but happy party returned to Lowerhouses just after 8pm. Thanks again to the organisers!
